Please keep in mind, we have some funds to help people get their dogs spayed or neutered. From $50.00 up to the total cost. Sorry, no cats. You need to call to see if you qualify.
Thank you to all who participated in Tag Day and had their pets chipped. You can now visit 24 Pet Watch, register, select a password, and upload a picture of your pet. If you are unable to upload a picture, send the photo to AWA.
In the spring of 1998, a group of like-minded citizens came together with the purpose of improving the lives of animals in our county. By combining our talents and resources we realized we could have a larger impact on many issues that we cared about, including the operation of the animal shelter, the importance of spay/neuter to control animal overpopulation, and the importance of pet identification. We were incorporated in 2002 and received our IRS Not for Profit status.
